Tuition
Lessons are year-round, and tuition is paid monthly by automatic debit from either a bank account or credit card. Tuition will be withdrawn on the 1st day of each month. The 1st month is non-refundable. Contact us for current pricing.
Registration
A non-refundable fee of $20 per student is required at time of registration.
Make-up Lessons
A student or parent must call or email the school in order to cancel a lesson. Make-up lessons will be limited to 2 per semester. Students who do not show up for a make-up will forfeit that lesson, and it will not be rescheduled. (No refunds will be given for missed lessons) If an instructor has to cancel, and a substitute cannot be provided for the lesson, it will not count toward your make-ups. This lesson will be made up by the instructor at a later date.
Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes
If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control, those missed lessons will be made up and not count toward your 2 absences per semester.
Substitutions
The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach the lesson. Our priority is to maintain the student’s scheduled lesson time.
If a substitute cannot be arranged, any cancelled classes will be made up and will not count toward your 2 absences per semester.

Care of Students
The School is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 5 are to remain in the school during the lesson. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time before or after the lesson.
Injuries
Parents, legal guardians of minor students, and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal music lesson activity. This also applies to any other activity conducted by the students and accompanying parties before, during, or after the lesson time on the entire premises, including the adjacent pond.
Photo Release
The school is hereby granted permission to take photographs or video of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials. Permission is also hereby granted for the school to copyright such photographs in its name.
Insufficient Funds
By enrolling in lessons, I hereby authorize the school to electronically debit my account for the amount of any ACH or credit card transaction fees, plus a $25 NSF fee, if tuition payment is rejected for insufficient funds.
Withdrawal and Refunds
A two week notice is required to discontinue lessons. In order to stop monthly payments, withdrawal must be done in person at the school’s front desk. Withdrawal will not be accepted over the phone or with the individual instructor. Withdrawal must be made by the 15th of the month for payments to discontinue at the end of that month. Monthly payments will continue to be debited until withdrawal form is completed at front desk. J. Oscar School of Music reserves the right to terminate lessons to any students without notice. In such a case a refund for unused lessons will be given.
